Diet Doctor

Challenge

Diet Doctor, a low-carb and keto dieting platform, wanted to evolve its brand into something more accessible and more human. The science was solid. The recipes were great. But the tone still felt stuck in a sort of “clinical startup” mode that was more instructional than inspirational. They needed a voice that felt as helpful as a health coach and as watchable as a food docuseries.

My Role

Brought in as a creative partner, I was asked to script a series of educational videos designed to help users better understand the science behind low-carb eating. I also provided voiceover for the final content that gave the series a confident, down-to-earth tone that aligned with the company’s evolving identity.

While it was a light touch engagement, it was a great chance to flex a different kind of creative muscle by bringing personality to science-heavy material.

What I Led

  • Scriptwriting for Onboarding & Education Videos:
    Took dense scientific content and transformed it into warm, conversational scripts that made learning feel easy, not clinical.

  • Voiceover Recording:
    Delivered a tone that evoked Vox’s “Explained” series while maintaining a unique and trustworthy perspective.

Outcome

The videos were a hit with users and internal stakeholders alike, helping establish a more approachable tone of voice for the brand. While my role was limited in scope, it showed how creative versatility (even something as simple as a well-delivered voice over) can play a key role in shaping how a brand is experienced.
